About 800,000 Garden State residents, including 200,000 children, struggle with hunger. CFBNJ can provide three meals for that single dollar, according to a news release from both organizations.

“Since the start of the pandemic, there has been a chronic shortage of blood, as well as a dramatic increase in the need for food bank services. We hope that this partnership is able to help both of our organizations to provide essential services to New Jerseyans.”

Carlos Rodriguez, president and CEO of Community FoodBank of New Jersey, said his organization was grateful for the support.

"Need in our communities remains elevated," Rodriguez said in a news release.
