Thunderstorms To Lead Into Nice Weather For NJ Father's Day Weekend: Forecasters
Pleasant conditions will be sandwiched between the upcoming rain and next week's heatwave, officials said.

NEW JERSEY — New Jersey should get some pleasant weather for Father's Day weekend, sandwiched between Friday's storms and next week's heatwave, according to forecasters.
Easterly showers and thunderstorms will reach the Interstate 95 corridor in the late afternoon or early evening Friday, potentially interfering with commutes and weekend-getaway travels, AccuWeather says.
There's some chance of severe weather throughout the state, especially with some of the storms producing damaging winds and large hail. But the chances of flash flooding are low, the National Weather Service says.

The potential for severe thunderstorms will end Friday evening, with the storm moving offshore, according to forecasts. AccuWeather expects some great conditions for Father's Day weekend.
"Saturday is shaping up to be a spectacular day for outdoor activities with low humidity and seasonably warm conditions for mid-June," AccuWeather said. "AccuWeather experts say this weekend will be the last couple of days to comfortably keep the windows open before the first heat wave of the season builds next week."
