NEW JERSEY — State police are asking for the public's assistance finding the suspect vehicle in three burglaries at New Jersey Turnpike rest areas from Middlesex County to Bergen County.

The alleged burglaries took place on Friday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 4 at the Thomas Edison, Molly Pitcher, and Vince Lombardi service areas (located in Woodbridge, Cranbury, and Ridgefield respectively).

A group of unidentified suspects stole items from driver's vehicles and then fled the scene in a red Nissan Rogue according to police.

The suspects "are known to switch the license plates displayed on the vehicle," state police said in a Facebook post.

"The suspects are allegedly entering vehicles, removing property of vehicle owners, and fleeing the scene in the red Nissan Rogue," said troopers. "The suspects are utilizing an older model Nissan Rogue"
