Racist Threat At New Jersey School Prompts Investigation: Police
Police and school officials in Woodstown are investigating an image with racist language that has circulated on social media.
WOODSTOWN, NJ — Police and school officials in Woodstown are investigating after an image with racist language circulated among high school students on social media.
In an email to parents, Woodstown-Pilesgrove Regional School District Superintendent said high school administrators "will be taking appropriate actions when the investigations are concluded."
A picture of the post was shared on social media. In the post, a white teenage boy with a cartoon cowboy hat and mustache is seen with the caption "(Racial slur)s need to die they need to Dieee."

Police and the school district have not confirmed who the teen is or if he is a student at the district.
"We are aware of screenshots that are circulating on social media involving racially charged language," Woodstown Police said in a Facebook post. "There is an ongoing investigation into the matter. These type of incidents are taken very seriously and will be fully investigated."

Steve Crispin, superintendent for the Woodstown-Pilesgrove Regional School District, told NJ.com the district is committed to inclusivity and respect.
Crispin's email to parents mentioned there were two racially-motivated incidents in the past week.
