What Will Halloween Look Like In NJ? Latest Forecast
Will weather be good for trick-or-treating this year? Here's what forecasters say to expect:
NEW JERSEY — Will Halloween weather provide tricks or treats in New Jersey? Forecasters are predicting a mild, pleasant day and slightly cooler evening for kids to load their bags full of candy.
The Garden State's latest dry spell isn't expected to go away before Halloween, and the National Weather Service doesn't have any significant rainfall in the forecast through the end of October. Some areas in the northwest region of the state may see some scattered showers Halloween night, though.
Overall, Halloween will be a treat for New Jersey, according to AccuWeather's long-range forecast.

"We're looking at a lot of mild weather overall during the day on Halloween, with some places being downright warm," AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Forecaster Paul Pastelok said.
High temperatures in the Mid-Atlantic are expected to be in the 70s on Thursday, AccuWeather forecasters said. In the Philadelphia area, this could even rise to the lower 80s. The warmest Halloween on record in Philadelphia was in 1946, when it hit 82 degrees.

However, when the sun goes down, a breeze from the southwest and a cold front from the west will approach the area, AccuWeather said.
"As you get into the evening hours and the sun dips down, the breeze and temperature fall will make it feel a little cool, even with temperatures being above the historical average," Pastelok said, adding that this may require a thin layer to be added under costumes.
