• New Jersey Duo Convicted in Federal Fraud Scheme (legalreader.com) — A woman from Alloway has been convicted in a multi‑million‑dollar federal fraud scheme involving programs meant to help elderly, disabled, and homeless people. Prosecutors say she and a Colombian co-defendant used fake records and stolen identities to seek over $13 million, ultimately receiving about $1.6 million and spending heavily on luxury travel and goods. Sentencing is set for January 2027, with each facing up to 20 years.
