92 Dwelling Units, Retail Space Proposed In Asbury Park

Asbury Park planners will hear site plans for the construction of a mixed-use building on Springwood Avenue on Monday.

ASBURY PARK, NJ - City planners are set to hear site plans for the construction of a mixed-use building on Springwood Avenue on Monday, according to planning board documents.

The four-story building will be located at 900-904 Springwood Avenue and include 92 residential units with 4,075 square feet of retail space and 7,798 square feet of office space.

Applicant Memorial Avenue Holdings, LLC, seeks to demolish the existing structures on the site. Access is proposed along Springwood Avenue and Memorial Drive.

Affordable units will be available, as well as market-rate studios and one, two and three-bedroom units.

Also on the agenda is an application for site plan and variances for renovation of a building at 929 Asbury Avenue to be used for office space and demolition of an existing building at 1000 1st Avenue for ancillary parking.

Both applications will be heard before the planning board on April 18 at an in-person meeting at 1 Municipal Plaza at 7 p.m. Formal action may be taken.
