Now in its third year, WaterFest continues to build on its success as a signature community event focused on water quality, conservation, environmental protection and lead service line replacement. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with New Jersey American Water team members and a range of local organizations and partners, offering resources to residents across the Asbury Park community.
Event highlights include:
- Interactive water exhibits and hands-on educational demonstrations
- Activities for all ages and community resource tables
- A touch-a-truck experience and water slide
- Refreshments and free produce provided by Interfaith Neighbors
Participating organizations include AmeriCorps New Jersey Watershed Ambassadors Program, Asbury Park Police Athletic League (PAL), SHARES, 11th Legislative District Legislators Assemblymembers Donlon and Peterpaul, Bridge of Books Foundation, New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, CARC (Community Affairs & Resources Center), and Interfaith Neighbors, Inc.
Spokespeople from New Jersey American Water are available to discuss the importance of water education, community engagement, and how events like WaterFest help connect the community with local resources and environmental initiatives.
