Man, 39, Fatally Shot Saturday Night In Neptune Township

A 39-year-old local man was found shot multiple times inside a car in Neptune Saturday night, said the Monmouth County Prosecutor.

NEPTUNE, NJ — There was a shooting in Neptune Township that left a local man dead this past weekend, said Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey.

The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Marques Mills.

Neptune Police responded to a 911 call about a shooting shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday and they found Mills inside a car at the intersection of Hillview Drive and Edgemere Road.

He had been shot multiple times, said police. He was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, but was pronounced dead there during the morning hours of Sunday, May 15.
