Man Fatally Shot In Asbury Park Thursday Night

A 33-year-old Asbury Park man was shot and killed Thursday evening, and the shooter remains at large, said police.

ASBURY PARK, NJ — A 33-year-old Asbury Park man was fatally shot Thursday evening and the shooter remains at large, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey.

The man was shot shortly before 7:30 p.m.; there was a report of gunfire originating from the 1600 block of Sewall Avenue.

When Asbury Park Police got there, they found Kyshawn Walker, 33, of Asbury Park, who had been shot multiple times. He was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short while later.

The investigation into this shooting is being handled by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Bureau and the Asbury Park Police Department.
