Man Killed In Asbury Park Thursday Afternoon: Prosecutor
Officials seek a suspect in the shooting death of a man in Asbury Park, who was found wounded on Thursday afternoon.

ASBURY PARK, NJ — Officials are investigating the daylight shooting death of a man in Asbury Park, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
Police in Asbury Park responded to the area of Ridge Avenue and Springwood Avenue at around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, said Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. They found a man with a gunshot wound, who first responders took to Jersey Shore Regional Medical Center.
Doctors pronounced the man, who has not been identified, dead shortly before 2:45 p.m., said Santiago. The prosecutor's office and Asbury Park police are actively investigating the shooting, and ask anyone with information that could help them identify a suspect to contact MCPO Detective Stephen Cavendish at 800-533-7443 or Asbury Park Police Department Detective James Crawford at 732-774-1300.
