• Arrest in swastika graffiti vandalism (starnewsgroup.com) — Swastikas were spray‑painted on four locations in Asbury Park, including the Mercy Center food pantry and sites along Main Street and Memorial Drive, before police arrested a Point Pleasant man on criminal mischief and bias intimidation charges. Mercy Center's leader stresses that such hate symbols have no place in the city and vows the nonprofit will keep serving vulnerable neighbors despite the intimidation.
