• Asbury Park Zombie Walk Returns Oct. 3 for 18th Year of Brains, Costumes and Boardwalk Mayhem (tapinto.net) — Next Saturday's Zombie Walk will pack the Asbury Park boardwalk and downtown with costumed "undead," makeup tents, and a big costume contest, all free to join or watch. The procession runs from Convention Hall to Johnny Mac's, turning the city into a Halloween-season spectacle that's become one of Asbury Park's signature fall traditions.
   

• New Jersey hits AI company with state's largest fine on a data center (costar.com) — New Jersey has fined AI firm Data One $1 million over unpermitted generators at its Vineland data center, the largest such penalty in state history. Asbury Park is among several towns that have already paused new data center construction, while lawmakers consider a statewide six‑month freeze on the fast‑growing industry.
