• Beloved Atlantic Highlands Preschool Teacher Loses Everything In Fire (dailyvoice.com) — A longtime Mountain Hill Preschool teacher in Atlantic Highlands lost her home and all her belongings after a car fire in her garage spread through the house. Neighbors and former students’ families have already raised tens of thousands of dollars to cover her immediate needs like clothing, food, and temporary housing while she begins to rebuild her life.
   

• Flies, grime and dog bed cited in restaurant Inspections (northjersey.com) — Monmouth County health inspectors recently cited several Jersey Shore restaurants for issues ranging from flies and grime to improper food temperatures and missing sanitizer. While none of the detailed violations were in Atlantic Highlands, the town is under the same county health jurisdiction, so these reports show the kinds of standards and enforcement local eateries here must meet.
