2 From Barnegat Among 17 Busted In Major Drug Seizure

Authorities found heroin, cocaine, prescription pills and marijuana at four Seaside Heights locations, police said.

Two individuals from Barnegat were among the 17 busted in a major drug seizure Thursday night in Seaside Heights, police announced Sunday. Authorities found heroin, cocaine, prescription pills and marijuana at four Seaside Heights locations, according to Seaside Heights Detective Steve Korman.

Barnegat residents Quaison Ellis and Jeffrey Bair were both arrested at 116 Hanock Ave., one of the locations where authorities executed a search warrant, police said.

Ellis, 21, of Hawthorne Lane, was charged with drug possession, intent to distribute and drug paraphernalia, Korman said. Bair, 48, of South Sea Court, was charged with drug possession and wandering, police said.

Both were released with summonses under bail-reform rules.
