Advocate/Support/Empower survivors of sexual violence

St. Francis Counseling Service is looking for volunteers for our Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate training beginning 1/5/2015

We are now taking applications for the 2015 Sexual Abuse and Assault Training Program.

-The next training will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00pm every Monday for 12 weeks beginning January 5th, 2015 at Toms River H.S. South

After completing the training program, you will be certified as a Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate and be on call to provide sexual assault survivors crisis intervention, information, and referral services by phone and in person. In addition, advocates may respond to a victim for an accompaniment at one of four Ocean County Hospitals, SOMC, CMC, Kimball Hospital, OMC, any Ocean County Police Department, and the Prosecutor’s Office.

If you are motivated to provide guidance, support and information to survivors and would like to volunteer time in your community, please consider joining our team.
