Afternoon Crash Causes Another On Route 9 In Stafford: Police
The second crash happened when a car was rear-ended while slowing down from traffic caused by the first, Stafford police said Wednesday.

STAFFORD, NJ — Two crashes occurred in succession on Route 9 near Marybell Road Wednesday afternoon, Stafford police said.
The first crash happened around 12:40 p.m. when a 41-year-old Barnegat man's car lost traction with the road, causing it to drive off the road and crash into multiple trees, police said.
The man sustained a minor injury in the crash and was taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center for treatment, police said.

Shortly after the crash, another occurred, involving two vehicles, police said.
A 38-year-old Waretown woman rear-ended a car driven by a 65-year-old Barnegat man who was slowing down due to traffic from the first crash, police said.

No one was injured in the second crash, and both cars were removed from the road, police said.
Both accidents were handled the Stafford Township Police Department's Traffic Safety Bureau assisted by patrol officers.
