Albert Music Hall Celebrates the "Sweethearts of the Jersey Pines"

On June 29th, there will be a celebration of the extraordinary women who have contributed to the Albert Music Hall throughout its history as founders, board members, volunteers, and musicians. The hall will hold a special show titled "Sweethearts of the Jersey Pines" that will feature all female-led bands. It will open with a brief retrospective of the women who have supported the hall over the years by current PCS President, Danielle Marrone.

There will be six bands performing, each playing a 30 minute set - a mix of Bluegrass, Country, Folk, Americana and more. First up is Redbird, Raven & Friends (the friends are Cassidy Gibson, Barbara Paskin and Ruth Ann Knoll) at 6pm. Next is Ladies Night Out, followed by Gwynne Alden, Granny & The Boys, Elaine & The Cimarron Sky Band, and Cranberry Jam.

Since 1974, Albert Music Hall has offered a lively stage for traditional music in Waretown, New Jersey. Every Saturday night, the hall comes alive with the sound of live Bluegrass, Country, Folk, Americana, Old Timey, and Pinelands music. It's more than a music hall. It's a place where community comes together, where new friends meet and where traditions of the Pinelands culture are kept alive.

For the Sweethearts of the Jersey Pines event, doors will open at 5:00pm and the music will start at 6pm. The snack booth will serve several hot food options: hotdogs, Italian sausage sandwich, and meatballs. A variety of snacks, desserts, and beverages will also be available. The gift booth is stocked with Albert Music Hall and Pinelands souvenirs including some new items themed for the Hall’s 50th Anniversary this year. There will also be a 50/50 draw. The Pickin' Shed will also be open at 5pm - visitors are invited to bring an instrument and join in on the jam.

Admission is $6, children under 12 are $1. The venue is wheelchair accessible. The event location is Albert Music Hall, 131 Wells Mills Road, Waretown, NJ 08758.
