Albert Music Hall to Kick Off Township of Ocean’s 150th Anniversary Celebration
A celebration of Waretown's past and present begins with free concert at Albert Music Hall on April 12th.

WARETOWN, NJ — Albert Music Hall will host the Township of Ocean’s 150th Anniversary Celebration Kick-Off concert on April 12th, welcoming the community for an afternoon featuring speakers, special guests, and performances by local musicians. This is the first of a series of events organized by the town to celebrate this important milestone.
Albert Music Hall has long been regarded as a gathering place for the “Sounds of the Jersey Pines” and a cornerstone of the community’s musical heritage. For more than 50 years, the Hall has been home to Folk, Bluegrass, Country, Old-Timey, and Pinelands music.
The kick-off event will take place on Sunday, April 12th at the Hall. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 2:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to all, with donations gratefully accepted.

The afternoon will begin with a lineup of speakers and special guests including the Township’s Mayor Ken Baulderstone, NJ State Senator Carmen Amato, and Adele Shaw of the Waretown Historical Society. Following the ceremony, local performers will share some of the traditional sounds that have been part of Waretown’s identity for generations. The musical lineup includes Redbird, James Dalton, Yankee Dime, and Fish & Whistle.

Visitors can expect the familiar, welcoming atmosphere, along with a selection of home-style favorites from the snack booth, including kielbasa & sauerkraut, meatballs, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, and desserts.

The celebration will continue on Monday, April 13th. At 6:30 p.m. when the community will gather at Waretown Historical Society’s Little Red Schoolhouse Museum for the official start of the township's 150th Anniversary. At this event there will be a grand reopening of the rejuvenated museum, where newly prepared exhibits and refreshed displays will highlight the township’s evolution over the past century and a half. Following the ceremony on Monday, guests will be invited to tour the museum and enjoy refreshments and a celebratory birthday cake.
