Barnegat-Area Route 9 Bridge Construction Advances
Traffic will be restored on Route 9 northbound as the Waretown Creek bridge construction project advances, officials said.

The Barnegat-area Route 9 Bridge construction project has progressed. The Route 9 northbound detour around Waretown Creek will be removed, allowing roadway access on that side of the bridge over Waretown Creek, officials said.
The New Jersey Department of Transportion will restore northbound access to the bridge's newly constructed east side between 8 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, NJDOT officials announced Thursday.
NJDOT will create a work zone to allow for demolition and rebuilding of the bridge's west side. The configuration will take approximately six months, according to officials.
