Barnegat Dock Back in Business For Memorial Day

Barnegat Township officials made good on their word this week and got the Municipal Dock back in action, just in time for Memorial Day.

Today, families gathered and fished, crabbed, and listened to some music provided by a local dee-jay and welcomed the dock's rebuilding after Sandy. A concert is planned for this evening with the High Five band. 

Township Administrator David Breeden has said as was initially done with the dock, "we are attempting to do a majority of the work with in house Public Works personnel," and crews scrambled this week to complete the work.

A scheduled boat race was cancelled today, due to windy conditions.
