Barnegat Fall Festival, LBI Shellabration This Weekend
Pick your pumpkins, enjoy the fall and celebrate the oyster with these local activities.
BARNEGAT, NJ — Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are a couple options in the area. Long Beach Island's Shellabration takes place this Saturday, while the Barnegat Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch is Sunday.
Shellabration runs from 12-5 p.m. Saturday at Bayview Park (6805 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach). The event celebrates the oyster and raises money for the Oyster Recycling Program. This celebration features food, beer, wine, music, oysters, demonstrations and family fun.
The Barnegat Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch also features plenty of family fun. The event takes place 1-4 p.m. Sunday across from the Station 11 firehouse at 11 Birdsall St.

The free fall festival includes children's inflatables and games, a pumpkin patch, cookie decorating, and craft and food vendors.
The festival also features a Halloween costume contest. Registration is at 2:30 p.m., and the contest starts at 3:30 p.m.
