Barnegat Township is going out to bid for various work that need to be done to rebuild the and it is looking possible that the dock will be rebuilt by Memorial Day weekend, according Township Administrator David Breeden.
Breeden noted at the Committee Meeting Monday that the township engineer has put together a proposal to put out to bid, specifically encompassing materials, structural work, and bulkhead repair at the dock, which was heavily damaged during Sandy.
Biddig would begin on March 14, and "we expect a quick turnaround," and to award the contracts on Monday, March 18.

Breeden said as was initially done with the dock, "we are attempting to do a majority of the work with in house Public Works personnel."
