Barnegat Man Busted In Heroin, Fentanyl Death: OCPO
Will the man be brought to justice?

A Barnegat man was arrested and accused of supplyng the heroin and fentanyl that killed a woman in Point Pleasant Boro, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced on Friday.
Curtis Geathers, 33, was arrested on strict-liability drug-induced death charges, according to the OCPO.
The incident happened on Jan. 10 when Point Pleasant Boro police officers were dispatched to a local residence on a report of an unresponsive woman, the OCPO said.

The woman was transported to Ocean Medical Center in Brick where she died two days later, the OCPO said.
A subsequent investigation revealed that Geathers was the supplier of heroin and fentanyl that was sold to the victim, authorities said. A toxicology report confirmed that the heroin and fentanyl supplied by Geathers matched the drugs in the victim’s system, the OCPO said.

Geathers was taken to the Point Pleasant Boro Police Department for processing and then transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he is currently lodged pending a detention hearing, according to the OCPO.
