Barnegat Man Kept Cache Of Weapons Accidentally Delivered To His Deer Run Drive South Home
Kevin Nagel lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, police say.

Barnegat police recently charged a township man with theft, unlawful possession of handguns and unlawful possession of rifles, when UPS mistakenly delivered a package of 11 weapons to his Deer Run Drive South Home, Sgt. Jeffrey Ryan said.
Kevin Nagel, 33, was arrested and taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $100,000 bail with a 10 percent option, he said.
A UPS investigator reported to the Barnegat Police Department on Dec. 16 that a package was accidentaly l delivered on Nov. 25 to the home a residence on Deer Run Drive South.

The package came from Ruger Guns in Connecticut and was supposed to be delivered to a Ruger gun dealer within the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. A UPS employee noticed that the package was damaged when seen at the UPS Meadowlands N.J. sorting facility, Ryan said.
The UPS employee repackaged the box. but placed the wrong shipping label on the box, he said.

The package contained eight Ruger handguns and three Ruger rifles - Ruger .44 magnum Super Blackhawk revolver, Ruger 10/22 .22 caliber rifle, Ruger GP100 .357 magnum revolver, Ruger SR22P .22 caliber pistol, Ruger 22/45 Lite .22 caliber pistol, Ruger SP101 .357 magnum revolver, Ruger SR19ll .45 caliber pistol, Ruger American .223 rifle, Ruger Single-Nine .22 caliber revolver, Ruger Mark III target .22 caliber pistol, and a Ruger Precision 6.5 mm Creedmoor rifle, Ryan said.
All of the weapons were recovered after an investigation by Sgt. Gary Larussa and Patrolman Richard Carr.
