Barnegat Man With Six Outstanding Warrants Found With Loaded Gun
Officers spotted Joshua W. Drake on Jan. 12 in Schooner Drive area.

Members of the Barnegat police department’s narcotics unit were on patrol on Jan. 12 when they spotted a familiar face.
The officers were in the area of Schooner Avenue and Village Drive at 5:54 p.m. when they saw Joshua W. Drake, 29. Drake had five outstanding no-bail warrants and an outstanding child support warrant. When they arrested him, police found he was in possession of a loaded Imperial Arms .38 caliber revolver, according to the police department’s Facebook page.
Drake was charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun and a fourth-degree charge of certain persons not to possess weapons. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River . Drake was lodged in Ocean County Jail on $65,000 bail in addition to the other no-bail warrants.
