Yesterday's news of layoffs at Town Hall pushed off our story on Barnegat schools' test score results from last year, but look for that article Monday.

EVENTS:

  •  in downtown Barnegat will host a spaghetti dinner this evening with seatings at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from tickets – $8 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under – will benefit local missions. For more information and reservations, call 609-698-3358.

WEATHER:

Snow was in the forecast for late Friday into Saturday, but warmer-than-expected temperatures mean it will likely all fall as rain. We may see some flakes late Saturday, though.

  • Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48. West wind between 3 and 9 mph. 
  • Tonight: Rain, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 36. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
