- Yes, it's nearly the end of January, but that doesn't mean flu season is over. If you haven't got a flu shot yet, you can do so today at the county from 3 to 6 p.m. at its headquarters at 175 Sunset Ave., Toms River. The shots are covered by Medicare Part B; otherwise, they're $20.
- The 's "New You for a New Year" series continues at 7 p.m. today with a fun decorative makeup class for teens ages 12 and up. Learn how to apply makeup "Gaga style" from two local stylists. Bring the makeup you're currently using and a tabletop or hand-held mirror, and be ready to have a little fun. Parental permission is required.
