The Police Unity Tour raises awareness about law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

BARNEGAT, N.J. — Several Barnegat and Stafford police officers are biking to Washington, D.C. They're participating in the 2019 Police Unity Tour, which raises awareness for law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.
The tour began Thursday morning at state police headquarters in Trenton. The first leg of the tour ends in Atlantic City. They will arrive Sunday to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. Once there, families of fallen officers and their own family and friends will greet them.
Several nearby police departments also participated, such as Ocean Township and Lacey Township. Officers raised funds over the past several months for the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund.
