Barnegat Police Looking For Whoever Spraypainted A New Left Lane Onto Local Street

The makeshift left turn wasn't there just a few days ago, police said.

Barnegat police are asking for help to identify whoever spray painted a makeshift left turn lane near Hornblower Drive and Hawkins Way recently, according to the police department's Facebook page.

Officers responded to the area on Sept. 4 on a criminal mischief report. Someone used white spray paint to make the lane from Hornblower Drive heading west, turning on HawkinsWay, the page states.

Witnesses determined that the spray paint was not there prior before 10 a.m. on Sept 4. The act is believed to have occurred betweeb 10 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 4, police said.
