BANREGAT, NJ — At least four people will be running in the Barnegat Township Committee election in November.

Two positions are available, making the primary uncontested. Alfonso Cirulli and Joseph Marte registered to run as Republicans, while Charles J. Cunliffe and Peggy A. Houle are running on the Democratic side.

Cirulli and Marte netted 1,661 and 1,655 votes in the Republican primary, respectively, as of 10 p.m. Tuesday. Houle and Cunliffe respectively earned 1,686 and 1,639 votes in the Democratic primary.

The primary was delayed from June 2 to July 7 because of the coronavirus outbreak. Absentee options will be available for voters in the November election.
