Barnegat Salon 'Cut-A-Thon' For Family Of Cop Who Died Off-Duty
All proceeds will support the family of Alex Hoffman, a Barnegat police officer who passed away at his second job earlier this month.
BARNEGAT, NJ — Getting a haircut soon? If you get a cut or wash during Susie's Hair Salon's "Cut-a-Thon," it will support Alex Hoffman's family.
Hoffman, a Barnegat police officer, died at his second job Oct. 2 of an apparent medical episode. The 40-year-old began working with the Barnegat Police Department in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Jaclyn and their children, Kylie and Conner.
Susie's Hair Salon (21 Main St., Barnegat) is holding a fundraiser for Hoffman's family from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. All washes and cuts are $20, and 100 percent of proceeds will support the family.
