Barnegat School Board: 3 Challengers Win Unofficial Tally
Sean O'Brien, Robert Sawicki and Richard Quelch are projected to win the Barnegat school board election.

BARNEGAT, NJ — It appears the Barnegat Board of Education will have three newcomers. Sean O'Brien, Robert Sawicki and Richard Quelch are projected to win the Barnegat school board election.
All winners are projected and unofficial until results are confirmed by the election clerk. Projected winners will be marked in bold once all precincts have reported results.
Here are the results for Barnegat Board of Education (three positions, three-year terms):

- D.D. Verdolino: 700
- George Fedorczyk, Jr.: 1,075
- Scott Sarno: 1,473
- Pete Toth: 1,272
- Wayne Eslinger: 1,172
- Richard Quelch: 1,619
- Robert Sawicki: 1,644
- Sean O'Brien: 1,919
Sarno and Toth were incumbent candidates. Sarno serves as board president, while Toth is a board member. The board has nine voting members. Sarno, Toth and Eslinger have run under the slogan "Keeping Barnegat Great!"
Quelch, Sawicki and O'Brien have run a joint campaign as, "A New Voice of Barnegat." Fedorczyk's slogan is "Progress for Education," while Verdolino's is "Make Education Great!"

The Stafford and Southern Regional school board races are uncontested. The following candidates are running:
Stafford Township Board of Education:
- Joseph Mangino
- Mark Zoladz
- Walter L. Jauch
Southern Regional Board of Education:
- Kevin D. Lyons
