Barnegat School District To Launch Half-Day Integrated Preschool Program In Fall

The program combines students with and without special needs.

The Barnegat Township school district plans to launch a half-day integrated preschool program at the Cecil S. Collins school in September, according to the district’s website.

The program will combine students with and without special needs. It will follow the district’s 2015-2016 school calendar, district officials said.

Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. or 12:25 p.m. to 2:50 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parents will be responsible for providing transportation.

Space in the program is limited. The district will accept applications until June 30. The tuition rate for students without special needs is $3,400. Students accepted will be picked by random selection.

The program will follow the New Jersey State Department of Education’s Preschool Teaching and Learning Expectations: Standards of Quality and will be taught by a dual certified teacher. y.
