Barnegat, Stafford, Southern Reg. School Board Candidates 2020

BARNEGAT, NJ — Candidates filed to run for open positions on the Barnegat, Stafford and Southern Regional school boards. Barnegat and Stafford will have contested elections in November.

The Ocean County Clerk's office released the names of the candidates, whose petitions were filed by 4 p.m. Monday, the deadline to be on the Nov. 3 ballot.

Here's who's running, along with their slogans that will appear on the ballot for candidates who listed them.

Barnegat Township School District

Seven candidates are running for three three-year terms on the Barnegat Board of Education.

• Justin Deemer: "The Brighter Future"
• George Fedorczyk, Jr.: "Progress For Education"
• Christopher Sharpe: "The Next Voice"
• Alicia Bivins: "The Next Voice"
• Sandra Churney: "The Next Voice"

Stafford Township School District

Seven candidates are running for three three-year positions. One candidate will run unopposed for a one-year term.

Three-year term:

• Christopher Fritz: "Community Together Wins"
• Deborah M. Lyons: "Community Together Wins"
• Gerald Simonelli: "Community Together Wins"
• James Curcio: "Accountability and Transparency"
• Patricia Formica: "Accountability and Transparency"
• Gregory Guido: "Accountability and Transparency"
• Kenneth Budinski

One-year term:

• Erin Sharkey: "Community Together Wins"

Southern Regional School District

Two candidates will run for two Stafford positions on the board, while one candidate will also run unopposed to represent Beach Haven.

Stafford candidates, three-year term:

• Thomas W. Serpico
• Heather Tatur

Beach Haven, three-year term:

• Stuart D. Snyder
