Over the years that the new Barnegat High School has been around our Homecoming events have been missing something. The something has been a BONFIRE. That is a tradition found in many area schools.
The thing is we live in a heavily wooded area and having a large fire is never that great an idea. So we fixed that. We are once again bringing back the Edwards School for good use. Last week we learned the Edwards school just might very well have a few ghosts. Now she is helping out the senior class and bringing the SPIRIT back by having a REAL Bonfire right in her parking lot. All the permits have been obtained. With the aid of the Barnegat FD Engine 11 we will have a REAL Bonfire.
Make sure to come out, support the Seniors of 2014. Support the Bengals. Support Barnegat. Have fun, eat and enjoy. Help make the downtown area LIVE. Walk down , see a friend and neighbor. Have a little warm apple cider and watch the activities.
This is the second phase of having the Edwards school once again serve the local community. This Saturday and next we will conduct the Haunted School Bus rides from that location as well. Let's Rock October while it's here.
