Barnegat's Town-Wide Yard Sale On Tap For Saturday

There's still time to register for the "largest yard sale in New jersey."

The Barnegat-Waretown Chamber of Commerce's annual town-wide yard sale gets underway at 9 a.m. on Saturday April 30, at more than 200 locations, according to the Chamber's website.

The $10 registration fee includes advertising, location maps and a flag. All proceeds from the event fees go to the Chamber's Community Fund, which includes scholarships and donations to police, fire, first aid and the food pantry. Township permit fees with be waived for registered participants only. All others will need a township permit.

Participants are asked to register early. Violators who are not registered or do not have a township permit face a $100 fine.

The registration deadline to be included on the maps is Tuesday. Maps will only be distributed after 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30 at Tobacco Road. 690 East Bay Ave.; Van Dyk Group, 500 Barnegat Boulevard, Building 300, TD Bank, 560 North Main Street, and Fulton Bank, 870 West. Bay Avenue.
