This Is The Best Grocery Store In New Jersey, The Daily Meal Says

Where can you go for the best food shopping in New Jersey?

You've heard a lot about Whole Foods and how New Jersey towns work to get the food chain to their communities. But a newly-released ranking says another store has more to offer. Kings Food Market, a New Jersey-based grocery store chain, was identified as the best grocery store in New Jersey and ranked among the best in America.

The Daily Meal, which was published this past week, praised Kings for stocking "local farm produce, fine meats and cheeses, prepared foods, and other groceries." Like Whole Foods, Kings is known for offering less of the name-brand, mass-produced food products that are offered at other supermarket chains. At the same time, also like Whole Foods, its customers have to pay a little more for the quality.

But the Daily Meal said that shouldn't be an issue.

"The general consensus is that although products maybe a tad expensive, Kings carries the quality products customers are looking for," according to the website.

The Daily Mail said it "scoured the Internet" for as much information as it could find, cross-referencing other best-of lists that have previously been written as well as reviews on Google, Yelp, Foursquare, and Facebook.

"We also conducted informal polls of friends, family, and acquaintances in far-off states in search of the answer, weighing concerns and praise about price, quality of products, and customer service, as well as store cleanliness," according to the site.
