Committeemen, Please Write About What You're Doing
Communications in writing from our Township Committeemen to the public I feel should be a basic responsibility. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor have reports, how about the rest?
I have had the pleasure of attending a few on the Township Committee meetings over the past few months. I appreciate the verbal comments and reports from the Committeemen, and have sent more than one email to request that they write a few sentences about what they do either in the Mayor’s report or on their own.
So far I have read nothing. I am sure they are very busy in supporting the Township. Tuesday one of the Committeemen gave a good talk about the state and taxes. The challenge is whether or not that will be written someplace for the public.
The Mayor and Deputy Mayor have their reports, how about the others? I wonder what the public thinks about our Township Committeemen writing something about what they are doing. What do you think?
