So the township FINALLY springs to purchase replacement bulbs for the recreation Soccer and Little League field lights (long overdue IMHO). They are reportedly delivered to the township who then asks public works to deliver them to the fields. So...pubic works delivers them instead to the FOOTBALL field on Lower Shore Rd. The township is notified of the mistake and is asked to have them relocated to the Little League clubhouse. So the public works dept moves them to the SOCCER clubhouse. Several of the $80+ bulbs were damaged during the multiple transfers.
Public works picks up recycling once every other week and now I hear the township may be looking to outsouce that to Waste Management. Besides driving the street sweeper and supposedly taking care of the few township playgrounds, what else do these workers do? I'd like to think pubilc works isn't simply a haven for otherwise unemployeed politically connected family members.
