Already for Spring?
Master Gardeners of Ocean 
County hold a help-desk from 10AM to 12PM for questions from the public 
about gardens, houseplants, trees, shrubs, weeds, plant diseases, 
insects, and general gardening questions. Specimens are encouraged for 
identification and remediation recommendation.&nbsp;Trained Master Gardener 
volunteers will research your inquiry to provide you with accurate, 
science-based recommendations regarding your questions.&nbsp;&nbsp; Visit us on 
the 2nd and 
4th Monday, March thru early November.
A concurrent Speakers' 
Bureau program convenes on the 2nd Monday from10:30 AM to 11:30 AM 
starting in May.&nbsp; This years topics are Roses, Shore Gardening, Orchids, Spring Bulbs, and Sunflowers
This year we are also offering Houseplant Hospital concurrently on the 4th Monday from 10 AM to 12 PM.&nbsp; Indoor plants also go through a 
period of dormancy 
in the winter and will begin to come back to life as the daylight 
increases. This is the time to slowly increase watering schedule and 
return to fertilization.&nbsp;Give the plants a spring cleaning by gently 
dusting the leaves and re-potting if plants have become root bound. 
Having a problem with one of your houseplants?&nbsp; Bring in your plant for 
evaluation--exception is insect infestation, then we recommend a 
photo(s).

Community building for neurodivergent children and their siblings. 
Join us for two engaging programs happening simultaneously: FACES and 
Sibling Get-Together!
FACES 4 Autism - Led by two experienced local 
Special Education professionals, FACES is designed to support 
neurodivergent children as they navigate social interactions. Through 
fun and engaging activities, we'll focus on building confidence in 
initiating conversations, sharing, self-advocacy, and fostering 
independence.
 Sibling Get-Together - Led by our children's 
librarian and mother of neurodivergent and neurotypical children, this 
program offers a supportive space for siblings to connect, share, and 
understand each other’s experiences in a fun, welcoming setting. This 
gathering encourages connection, understanding, and shared experiences 
in a welcoming environment.
Both programs take place in a relaxed, play-based setting focused on fun, not therapy!

Cape May County 4-H Foundation

The all new Cape May Renaissance Faire brings the days of yore and times of wonder to Cape May.

Hear ye, Hear ye! Prepare to step back in time as the Cape May Renaissance Faire announces its grand opening, and transforms the Cape May County 4-H Fairgrounds into a bustling festival, May 2 &amp; 3, 2026. The new event promises immersive and whimsical fun, fantasy, music, crafts, food and drink; providing a unique escape for families and the young at heart.&nbsp;

The Cape May Renaissance Faire aims to bring the rich traditions of medieval-era entertainment to the local community, blending historical flair with fantastical fun. Attendees can try their hand at archery and axe throwing, shop with various artisanal vendors, or watch the many entertaining performances on 4 stages. Patrons are encouraged to dress in clothing of the bygone area, as the mythical character they wish to be, or just come as they are.

Highlights of the Inaugural Season Include:
<ul><li>Marketplace: Over 65 vendors showcasing handcrafted goods, including jewelry, leatherwork, and period clothing.</li><li>Immersive Atmosphere: Street performers, musicians, and costumed villagers bring the Faire to life.&nbsp; Make sure to place your vote for which queen rules the festival!</li><li>Feasts &amp; Sweets: Indulge in a Ren Faire must - the turkey leg or delicious BBQ, and quench your thirst with special themed - mocktails and lemonades.</li><li>Unique Performances: Witness the awe-inducing aerial performances of Shelli Buttons or the exhilarating battles of Armored Combat Wide.&nbsp; Enjoy the musical stylings of Chaste Treasure, Pieces of 8 or the Rowdy Rovers. Discover the thrill of a birds of prey show with Falconry Girl or the amazing juggling prowess of Bad Ideas Entertainment.&nbsp; Watch feats on horseback at the Daly Riders show.&nbsp; These are only a few examples of the amazing entertainment line up!</li></ul>
