LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ — Three restaurants were crowned chowder champions at this past weekend's Chowderfest.

Celebrating its 34th year, the annual event was rescheduled from earlier in October due to heavy rain from the remnants of Hurricane Ian.

In spite of the rescheduling, something Chowderfest has never done before, the event was a success, according to the Southern Ocean Chamber of Commerce.
