STAFFORD, NJ — Construction of the newest Ocean County Library branch in Stafford was approved by the County Board of Commissioners, according to the Asbury Park Press.

There will be areas for people of all ages in the new library, including larger areas for children's programs, a new teen area and an "intergenerational space" for senior citizens to socialize and enjoy library services.

The new Stafford branch will also feature study rooms, a maker space for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) educational activities and a sensory space for people with autism, Alzheimer's or other sensory processing needs.

Commissioner Joseph H. Vicari, who serves as liaison to the Ocean County Library system, has said previously that construction is planned to begin later this year.
