Police found him injured and her deceased, and investigators have charged him with murder; he will be moved to Ocean County Jail after leaving the hospital for a detention hearing.

4. Barnegat ghost fishing net inspires divers to seek help with removal (app.com) — Just offshore from Barnegat Inlet, a massive ghost fishing net tangled on a wreck is killing fish and crabs and has inspired two veteran divers to launch a documentary and reporting database. They're teaming with a Barnegat Light commercial fisherman and seeking help from NOAA and local universities to safely remove the net and spotlight derelict gear along the Jersey Shore.
   

5. Man Arrested for Cocaine Distribution in Little Egg Harbor (thesandpaper.net) — A regional narcotics investigation in Little Egg Harbor led to the arrest of an Atlantic City man on multiple cocaine distribution and possession charges, with additional offenses filed in other jurisdictions. Barnegat's Crime Reduction Unit joined Stafford police, state police, and parole officers in the operation, underscoring ongoing multi-town cooperation against drug activity affecting Ocean County communities.
