Cops: Man Deliberately Rams Two Vehicles After Argument At Party

A 19-year-old Manahawkin man intentionally drove his Dodge Ram truck into two other vehicles after an argument at a house party on Bernard Drive in the Village Harbor section of the township, Capt. Thomas Dellane said.

Stafford police responded at 4:05 a.m. on Dec. 13 on a report of a possible intoxicated driver who had left the scene of an accident, Dellane said.

Investigation revealed that Chance Bruemmer, Lawrence Drive, had intentionally struck the vehicles and fled the scene. He was located on Lawrence Drive. Police determined that Bruemmer was driving while intoxicated, Dellane said.

Bruemmer was arrested and taken to Stafford Township police headquarters. He was charged with two counts of criminal mischief, driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving. He was released pending a Jan. 8 court appearance in Stafford Township Municipal Court, Dellane said.
