Both eastbound and westbound lanes were closed to traffic for more than an hour, police say.

Three people were taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center this morning after a three-crash that briefly closed both lanes of the Causeway, Patrolman Christopher Fritz said.

Investigation revealed that Christopher Potts, 42, Manahawkin, was stopped in traffic on Route 72 when his pickup truck was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Thomas Bernabeo, 76, Manahawkin, Fritz said.
