Delivery Driver Went Missing In Waretown; He Was Found

Authorities took him to a medical facility because of exposure to cold and wet conditions.

WARETOWN, NJ — A food delivery driver went missing Tuesday evening in Waretown. Authorities found him five hours later, several miles from his vehicle, according to Ocean Township police.

Police were alerted of a missing person around Route 532 and Morey Place Road. The employee was delivering to a home set back from Wells Mills Road down a dirt trail. He parked his vehicle on Wells Mills Road and tried making the delivery on foot but became lost.

Members of the Waretown Fire Company and Waretown First Aid Squad searched miles of trails for about five hours. They found him several miles his vehicle.

Authorities took him to a local medical facility for evaluation and treatment for exposure to cold and wet conditions.

Ocean Township police thanked all who helped find him, including the Waretown First Aid Squad and Fire Company.
