John Wnek, Supervisor at the Marine Academy of Technology and Evironmental Science (MATES), will bring some live terrapins as he tells us about our local turtle species with an emphasis on the Diamondback Terrapin. He will talk about initiatives to increase the nesting success of terrapins through Project Terrapin which is an initiative to conserve and educate about these terrapins led by Wnek and the students at MATES.
