"Fighting the Machine" is LaVergne's primary goal in Congressional Race

Quote from an editorial penned by a constituent - says much...

“Like a prepaid cellphone, thrown out by a drug dealer so they can’t be traced, Belgard was placed in this election by the de-facto political boss of New Jersey George Norcross’ operatives, to be their puppet. Belgard, will run out of “airtime” at the end of the election season, while Norcross, along with his Ocean County cohorts will continue to perpetuate a systematic pilfering of the pockets of CD3 taxpayers She has no endgame and offers nothing- just a false alternative in the Morton’s Fork of voting for either of the two major parties. And she had better hope that third-party hopeful Fred Lavergne can’t catch her in a debate- because that’s when she’ll really go into a “dead zone”.”

TO the VOTERS:

This election is not about Tom MacArthur or Aimee Belgard versus each other - there’s a third horse in this race - yours truly.

Trouble is, to perpetuate the incoming advertising dollars from the two so-called “major” parties, the media carefully side-steps the independent candidates...we don’t spend millions, and, heaven forbid we are elected, we might actually change the status quo, requiring journalism for coverage, instead of a reliance on puff pieces provided by the candidates’ sponsors, themselves.

That’s who the race is REALLY between...George Gilmore, George Norcross, and Me.

Who am I? Put simply, an American, first, not Democrat, and not Republican....American. I wear no party handcuffs, and am beholden only to the electorate, not the “feudal lords” who have carved this State up into two petty kingdoms.

If you have had enough of GILMORE and NORCROSS, then I NEED YOUR HELP.

Now that September is here, we WILL ask DIRECTLY for your support - in the form of sharing our message. We’ve spent the last several months telling the voters who we are. There are SIX “Democratic-Republicans” on the ballot for Congress, this Fall, and one for Senate. We are also seeking critical County Offices.

I’m just the lucky one in the highest profile race.

It’s not that we don’t need to raise money - we do...mostly for gas, paper, and ink. What we need far more is YOUR help in raising awareness of this campaign for the next 60-plus days.

Showing YOUR Support with a yard sign helps a little - introducing what we’re doing to your friends and neighbors is far more important.

While these two clog your mailbox and your inbox and your answering machine, you will receive very few such calls or e-mails from us - and they will be ABOUT what we’re already doing, what we’ve already achieved on your behalf.

I will often speak publicly against machine politics - defeating the corrupt is at the very core of the reforms we propose. The machine politicians are my opponents, and, when they can no longer ignore me, they will get “dirty”. More often, I hope to bring to you, the voters, the differences we’ve already made, and how I intend to represent YOU.

We have great help coming from many quarters, and from independents, Democrats, and Republicans - much to the chagrin of the party puppets.

Still, we can always use more.

There are nearly 400,000 voters registered in this district - and far fewer than that voted STATE-WIDE in the Primaries for BOTH parties.

This is not a “lock” for either party - the numbers don’t lie, even if their public relations people do.

Voter apathy is not unexpected in our present system - many of you are tired of choosing “which eye to be poked in”, to paraphrase my worldly 10-year-old nephew.

MY opponents are RELYING ON VOTER APATHY.

We’re giving you a reason to show up in November - even if you haven’t voted in years.

If you are willing to invite me to meet with you and your neighbors in your home, reach out to us. We need a strong presence in every community.

Watch “this space” for news of local appearances - and show up! Show ME what I am doing is important to YOU. I’ve already been invited by several groups, but intend to fill my dance card “to exhaustion”.

Our message is an important one, but it won’t be heard without your voice added to the choir.

You have a chance to have real representation in Washington.
