Former Mayor Tapped To Fill Barnegat Township Committee Vacancy
Republican Alfonso Cirulli will take over Martin J. Lisella's seat.

BARNEGAT - A familiar face will be back on the Township Committee dais soon.
Former Mayor Alfonso Cirulli has been selected to fill the vacancy on the governing body after Martin J. Lisella resigned his seat to take over the job of business administrator, according to app.com.
Cirelli, 63, lost to current Mayor Susan McCabe in 2012. McCabe has since switched parties and is now a Republican. He recently retired as a Pinelands Regional assistant principal.

“He’s been an active member of Barnegat for some time,” McCabe said. “He’ll slide pretty seamlessly into the role.”
Cirulli said his primary concerns are the township finances and helping to decide the fate of Barnegat’s police dispatchers.
